Perfectly Penned

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have the worst penmanship!  Thankfully there is a stamp set that works beautifully!  There is a woman, in our church, that is getting ready to have hip replacement surgery and I want to make sure and send a card after the fact.  The older I get, the more I forget so...I made this card up ahead of time and will go ahead and address it and have it all set with a post it as to when I need to mail it:)  Sheesh, makes me sound like I'm 110 years old doesn't it?  I'm not, I simply don't want to space off sending her well wishes for a speedy recovery:)

May you all have a blessed Easter and be surrounded by love and laughter:)

MDS

I am quickly falling in love with MyDigitalStudio!  Sometimes it is just fun to hop on the computer, rev up MDS onto the screen and start playing around with the papers and embellishments and stamps and see what I end up with.  I have plenty more to learn about it but each step I take, it gets easier:)  This particular postcard uses some things from the Lemonade Stand Download.

May your day be full of happiness!

Just had to!

Yep, I just had to!  I had to use the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set again.  Someone has a birthday coming up and the Ferris Wheel was screaming for me to ink it up and use it!  He owns a Mini Cooper and since London has their huge ferris wheel, well...you see how it came to be for his card then right?  On the envelope I stamped the Phone Booth stamp, yep, London again.

Make it a great day for you and all those around you:)

Bunny Love

It never ceases to amaze me how awesome it is to be blessed with a grand baby:)  I have such a blast making cards to send to him even tho I realize he is way too young yet to understand any of it.  My hope is that his mom saves them and tucks them into a safe spot for many years from now for Carson to look at and realize the love I have for him:)

This particular bunny was created by a member of the Stampin'Up! family, Carrie is her name.  Oh how I wish I had the talent to come up with these ideas on my own!!!  I simply used different colors of inks, cardstock and Designer Series Paper and made it into a card...yep, off it will go in the mail to a certain special little one for his first ever Easter.

Enjoy your day and surprise someone you love with something you created:)

Easter Basket

Happy Monday!  I spotted this adorable basket online and it came from the creative mind of Connie Collins.  It took a little time to make but sooooo worth it in the end:)  Hope it brings a smile to your face as it did to mine:)

Oh, Hello

I love the name of this set...can't you just hear it?  Oh......hello :) I had this card almost complete when I realized the doily was waaaay too white for my liking!  All I did was pull out my Color Spritzer Tool and put in the marker to match the yellow in the card stock and it helped tone down that doily in no time flat!  After I took the Vanilla Flower Trim and smooshed it, yep, smooshed into the Indigo Island Ink Pad,  the color wasn't quite there that I was looking for...so...I grabbed that handy dandy Color Spritzer and changed out the marker and put in the one to match the flower and it helped it quite a bit!  After all the smooshing and spritzing, I couldn't very well just add the leaves and stems without spritzing them as well:)  That is the beauty of creating, you can stop when you are happy or just keep going until you are!  That's my story and I'm sticking to it:)

DSP...Tea For Two

Layered Labels

This card was made while wearing a VERY LARGE SMILE on my face:)  I received a phone call this morning from our son in India.  My day began hearing the news that Davis has been promoted to Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps! SEMPER FI!  Obviously I had to whip up a card to put in the mail to him!  Something tells me that not very many stamped cards go to India. Time to change that!

Simply Sent

Brrrrrrr!  Seems to me that Ohio is having to pay back for last Winters mild weather!  It is a cold one out there again today:(

This card was super simple in every sense of the word!  It is from the Sale-A-Bration Special that ends on Friday!!!  Just a reminder, for every $50 a person purchases in product, they are able to choose something out of the Sale-A-Bration Flyer for FREE:)  All I had to do was fold the card in half, layer the flower, add the Diamond, place the self adhesive strip down and tie the Bakers Twine and place the flower wherever I wanted to....DONE!  This kit would make for a great gift for someone who does a little extra for someone without expecting anything in return.  Gotta love a surprise gift eh?

Feeling Sentimental

I'm doing my best to not start the crying process but the time is drawing near when the cutest little grandson and our daughter will be leaving to go back to their home.  What a joy it has been to spend time with them both and to see what a terrific mom our little girl is:) LOVE YOU MARY!

I started this as a full size card and it just wasn't working for me.  All it took was me using my paper cutter and creating my own size card:)  Hey if nothing else, I can always use it as a tag for a gift right?  I love the classic navy and red together in just about anything so it came easy for me to pick these colors:)

Supplies...
Stamp Set...Feeling Sentimental (Sale-A-Bration)
Cardstock...Night of Navy, Riding Hood Red and of course Crumb Cake!
DSP...First Edition
Ink...Riding Hood Red
Linen Thread

Have a fantabulous weekend and do something nice for someone else today!

Another Dress :)

I hope you aren't overly tired of these dresses because I have only just scratched the surface as to the combos one can come up with!  I used the Framelit to cut the main dress and then used a scrap piece of Tea For Two paper and just put it on the upper half of the Framelit, which turned it into a layered dress or a two colored dress.  If you were to cut the upper half part so that it was open...it would make a quick jacket!  The sky is the limit with this Dress Up Framelit Set!

Supplies...
Cardstock...Very Vanilla, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake
DSP...Tea For Two and First Edition
Linen Thread and Pearl Basic Jewels
Polka Dot Embossing Folder

We are half way thru our time with our daughter and grandson and we are already dreading the goodbyes...time for more kissing on those sweet little cheeks and ears!

Stay warm!

Dress Up :)

I wasn't kidding when I said I LOVE the Dress Up Framelits!  If you have small pieces of DSP around or want to use up small pieces of cardstock, make a dress! :)  That sounds really weird coming from me considering how much I hated home ec class when we had to sew something!  This type of dress making is more my speed:)

Supplies...
DSP...Tea For Two
Cardstock...Soft Suede
Dress Up Framelits
Vanilla Flower Trim

Please forgive my super simple post yet again today...sometimes simple simply works:)  At least for this Granny!

Enjoy!

Sent With Love

You just never know when inspiration will hit!  My office is a total disaster at the moment and things are not where they are suppose to be.  While picking up some paperwork to put away, I came across something that I purposely cut out and saved to "someday" copy it!  Guess what today is...."someday" :)  As a Demonstrator, I receive a fantastic newsletter from Stampin'Up! that is loaded with beautiful samples and ideas.  I usually cut out what I fall in love or even like with and save it for "someday".  The nice part about copying an idea is that you can put your very own twist on it:)  I loved this particular layout and simply changed out the DSP and stamp set as well as colors. Easy Peasy!

Supplies...
Stamp Set...Sent With Love
DSP...Sent With Love
Cardstock...Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Marker...Indigo Island
Corner Rounder
Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Stampin'Pierce Mat and Paper-Piercing Tool
Paper Daisies

Amazing how poking holes in cardstock can add dimension and interest.  I need to pull those toys out more often!

Find something that catches your eye, add your own twist to it and enjoy the creative process:)

Whew!

Whew indeed!  Right off the bat, thank you for your prayers!  Davis called me today letting me know that he has arrived safe and sound in New Delhi!  Have to love technology...he sounded as if he was right next door:)  All is well on his end and hopefully it won't take long to recover from his 14 1/2 hour flight as well as the 10 1/2 hour time difference....among many other things right? :)

I had another class online with my wonderful upline...YO AMY!  She is simply the best at teaching MyDigitalStudio and I'm loving every minute of it.  I really hope you don't tire of me posting what I come up with as I'm hoping to encourage you to take from it what you want and create whatever trips your trigger:)  Without further delay, this card is made for YOU ALL with gratitude:)

My thanks to all of you!

Simple

First off, thank you Debbie for letting me know it was a good choice to go with my new puter:)  I appreciate you taking the time to respond!!!

Before I go any further, I have a request please...I am asking for prayers for our son, Davis, a United States Marine, who...when this is posted, will be well on his way to his new duty as an Embassy Guard...in....New Delhi, India.  VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!

In keeping with what today holds, I decided this momma needed some flowers:)  I love just cutting and layering DSP paper and leaving it simple and wrapped and taped to the mason jar.

Enjoy and here's hoping we don't end up with as much snow as they are calling for!!!

Time is Ticking

Happy Friday!!!  Time is ticking and Sale-A-Bration is nearing the end...it ends on March 22nd!  If you haven't already checked out all that is available for FREE with every $50 worth of product ordered, quick...click on the shop button and click the Sale-A-Bration link.  Stampin'Up! came up with an awesome assortment of goodies and did I mention FREE with every $50 order? :)

This particular stamp came from one of the Sale-A-Bration sets and it screams vintage!!!  I had the saying all stamped and cut out and just decided to leave the outside the way it is pictured here.  That doily is simply cut in half and sponged with the same color ink as the stamp is.

DSP  First Edition Specialty
Ink...Early Espresso
White Tea Lace Paper Doilies
